**Job Opportunity: Nano Unicorn Scheme by Skill Development & Technical Education Department, Government of Odisha**

The Government of Odisha has introduced an empowering initiative under the Skill Development & Technical Education Department called the 'Nano Unicorn Scheme'. This scheme is designed to foster entrepreneurship among skilled youth and tackle issues such as rural youth migration and unemployment.

**Eligibility Criteria:**
- Age: 18-35 years
- Qualifications: Candidates must have undergone short or long-term skilling courses at ITIs, Polytechnics, Higher Technical Institutions, World Skill Centre, PLTP, NUA Odisha, etc.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a viable business plan (excluding fast food and single-use plastic businesses).
- Must not be currently employed or have accessed loans through similar state/central government schemes.
- Priority given to female candidates (minimum 33%), Persons with Disabilities, Transgenders, STs, SCs, and other marginalized groups.

**Important Dates:**
- Scheme Duration: FY 2023-24 to FY 2025-26
- Application and selection processes will be advertised through various media.

**Key Features:**
- Financial Support: Refundable seed funding of up to ₹1 lakh, recoverable in 3 years.
- Training: Includes a mini-MBA programme and entrepreneurship development program.
- Geographical Coverage: Focus on all 30 districts of Odisha, with special emphasis on 10 aspirational districts.

**Reservation & Regional Preferences:**
- Special focus on aspirational, tribal, and remote districts to address specific socio-economic challenges.
- Preference for agencies with prior experience in implementing similar government programmes.
