General conditions/Instructions:

1.   The posts are temporary, but likely to continue.


2. THOSE WHO POSSESS THE REQUIRED QUALIFICATION AS ON THE LAST DATE OF APPLICATION ONLY NEED APPLY.


3. Age limit (as on 05.09.2014):          
   Maximum age limit for UR Category is 35 years (Post Nos.1251 to 1253, 1256,1258 to 1262 & 1264), for OBC category – 38 years (Post Nos. 1251,1252,1254,1256,1257,1263 & 1264) and for SC category – 40 years (Post Nos. 1251,1252,1255 & 1256). For Post No.1265 maximum age limit is 25 years (UR Category) & 28 years (OBC category). Ex-Servicemen, Persons With Disability (PWD), Widows, Divorced women and women judicially separated from their husbands and who are not remarried are eligible for age relaxation as per Government of India orders. Minimum age limit is 18 years.
   


4. The prescribed Physical Fitness/Endurance Test standards for post No. 1265 is as follows;
   
   Physical Fitness Standards:
   
   1. No deformity (inter-alia, bow legs, knock knees or flat foot shall be a disqualification)

5. Pay and Allowances: Approximate salary per month at the minimum of the Grade as on date is as follows:

6. For technical posts the Organisation has a progressive HRD policy and provides an excellent growth potential for the right individual through its periodical merit based performance review system (called Merit Promotion Scheme) de-linked from availability of higher post, by which the staff can be evaluated for the advancement of their career in the Organisation.


7. The Organisation provides medical facilities (Contributory Health Service Scheme) for self and dependants, free transport facilities/transport allowance, subsidised canteen facilities, housing accommodation subject to availability, in addition to the facilities available to the other Central Government Staff.  The Centre has a well-maintained Central School and a well-stocked Library that provides an excellent opportunity for professional development.


8.   At present the place of posting is VSSC, Thiruvananthapuram, but the selected candidates are liable to be posted in any of the Units of the Indian Space Research Organisation/Department of Space situated anywhere in India as and when required.


9. Candidates will have to produce proof of the details furnished in their applications submitted on-line as and when required.


10. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC have to submit attested copies of latest caste/OBC (non-creamy layer) certificate issued by the Competent Authority in the prescribed format applicable for reservation in jobs under Government of India.  In respect of OBC candidates, reservation will be available only to candidates, who do not fall in the Creamy Layer. OBC certificate must specifically include the clause regarding exclusion from Creamy Layer and should be updated/valid at the relevant point of time i.e. at the time of submission of application form for the above post. OBC candidates must, therefore, furnish                valid and updated OBC certificate which should specifically include the clause regarding “Exclusion from Creamy Layer” in order to be considered against the posts reserved for OBC.  In addition to submission of OBC certificate issued by the competent authority, the candidates seeking reservation as OBC should furnish a declaration in the following format:

11. Based on the online bio-data initial screening will be conducted for shortlisting the candidates for further processing. The Centre may adopt the method of conducting written test for initial screening or may directly shortlist the candidates for interview by fixing a higher cut-off percentage for marks scored in the essential qualification course. Candidates called for Written Test/interview will have the option to answer the questions in Hindi also. Please note that this qualification prescribed is the minimum requirement and the same does not automatically make candidates eligible for written test/interview.If written test is opted for preliminary screening, the written test score will not reflect in the final selection process. The final selection will be based on the performance of the candidate in the interview.


12. Outstation candidates belonging to SC/ST called for Interview will be paid to and fro Second Class Railway Fare by the shortest route including reservation/sleeper charges on production of proof of journey such as Railway Tickets/Ticket Number or Bus tickets, etc.  If the candidates travel in a higher class of accommodation than the one prescribed, only Second Class rail fare excluding the reservation charges/sleeper charges will be paid.


13. The Centre reserves the right not to fill up any of the posts, if it so decides.


14. Only Indian Nationals need apply.


15. No interim correspondence will be entertained.


16. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.

HOW TO APPLY

Upon on-line registration, applicants will be provided with an on-line Registration Number, which should be carefully preserved for future reference. After submission, it is mandatory for the applicant to send only the following documents:

1. A confirmatory copy of the online application.


2. No Objection Certificate, from the employer concerned in respect of those applicants who are employed under Central / State Government / Public Sector Undertakings / Autonomous Bodies.


3. Declaration (only for OBC candidates.)

The applicant need not send any other documents such as copies of certificates/marklists in proof of educational qualification, work experience, age etc.

STEP 1:  REGISTRATION

Click on the link "Apply Now". Fill all the fields and click on the 'SUBMIT'  button. On successful registration, you will receive an e-mail with following details:

STEP 2:  APPLICATION
Fill in all the information correctly and "SUBMIT". On Submission, you will have an opportunity to preview and confirm. Read all the details carefully. If any change is required, Click on "GO BACK".
To finally submit your application, click on "CONFIRM" button. On successful application, your registration number will be displayed on screen and an e-mail will be sent to you. Note down your Registration Number and keep in a safe place. This would be required for checking the status of your application in future.
STEP 3:  Print the APPLICATION
This step is required to send your application summary by post.
Click on the "PRINT APPLICATION SUMMARY FORM" button. Take two print-outs of the form.

STEP 4: SEND SUMMARY FORM BY SPEED POST
