IGCAR Kalpakkam Recruitment 2014 Trade Apprentices

Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR) Kalpakkam invites prescribed form of applications for engagement of Trade Apprentices (Total 20 Vacancies) under Apprentices Act, 1961 and Apprenticeship Rules, 1991 in General Services Organisation, Kalpakkam in Kancheepuram District, Tamil Nadu. This selection is only for Apprenticeship training on Stipendiary basis. Eligible ITI Passed candidates apply on or before 21st April 2014.

Educational Qualifications:

Electrician -> SSC/SSLC (10th Std.) passed with Science as one of the subjects or its equivalent. ITI Certificate of two year duration in the relevant Trade is essential.
Mechanic (Motor Vehicle) -> SSC/SSLC (10th Std.) passed with Science as one of the subjects or its equivalent. ITI Certificate of two year duration in the relevant Trade is essential.
Mechanic (Diesel) -> SSC/SSLC(10th Std.) passed with Science as one of the subjects or its equivalent. ITI Certificate of one year duration in the relevant Trade is essential.
Programming and System Administration Assistant -> H.Sc (12th Std.) passed under 10+2 system of Education with Science as one of the subjects or its equivalent. ITI Certificate of one year duration in Computer Operator & Programming Assistant / Programming and System Administration Assistant or relevant Trade is essential.
Medical Lab Technician (Radiology) -> H.Sc (12th Std.) passed under 10+2 system of Education with Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Medical Radiography Trade Certificate (not less than one year) conducted by recognised Institutions.
Medical Lab Technician (Pathology) -> H.Sc (12th Std.) passed under 10+2 system of Education with Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Trade Certificate of not less than one year duration in Medical Laboratory from a recognised Institutions.
Gardner –> SSC/SSLC(10th Std.) passed with Science as one of the subjects or its equivalent.
Age Limit: Not less than 16 years, Maximum 22 Years for General Candidates as on 1st January 2014. Relaxation upto 5 years for SC/ST; Relaxation upto 3 years for OBC.
Training place: General Services Organisation, Kalpakkam/Anupuram (Tamil Nadu State)

Physical Standards:
(a) Height -> 137 cms.
(b) Weight -> 45 Kgs.
(c) Chest Measurement -> Expansion should not be less than 3.8 cms (irrespective of size of chest)
(d) Vision - There should be no evidence of any morbid condition of either eye or the lids of either eye which may be liable to risk or aggravation or recurrence.
Selection Process: Trade Test and Viva Voce Test (Interview). The date and venue of the trade test/Viva voce test will be informed through call.
