The Tata Memorial Centre (TMC) is a Comprehensive Cancer Centre with a mission to achieve the highest standards in patient care, cancer prevention, cancer research and professional development for oncology and allied disciplines. TMC is an autonomous Grant-in-Aid Institute of the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India. TMC is affiliated to Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI). The HBNI is a Deemed to be University of the Department of Atomic Energy with a mission to develop high quality postgraduate educational programs in science and technology including those related to Life and Health sciences. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
01Assistant Professor, Gastroenterology
D.M. or equivalent postgraduate degree recognised by Medical Council of India with minimum 3 years’ teaching experience in Gastroenterology and at least one year experience in therapeutic endoscopic procedures.
02Assistant Professor, Radiation Oncology
M.D. (Radiation Oncology/Radiotherapy) or equivalent postgraduate degree recognized by Medical Council of India with minimum 3 years Post M.D. experience in a MCI recognized teaching hospital or cancer centre. Adequate experience in Brachytherapy techniques, advanced 3D conformal treatment planning techniques and IMRT are desirable for this position.
03Assistant Professor, Medical Oncology (Solid Tumor)
D.M. (Medical Oncology) or equivalent postgraduate degree recognized by Medical Council of   India. Preference will be given to candidates having at least one year post D.M. Solid Tumor experience. Candidates who appeared for DM may also apply for the post.
04Medical Superintendent
M.D. (Hospital Administration) OR M.B.B.S. with full time Post Graduation in Hospital Administration (M.H.A.) or a recognized qualification thereto from a recognized University in India or abroad. Candidates should have minimum 10 years' experience after Post Graduation in a reputed hospital (atleast 300 beds). Candidates should have a track record of having skills in a managerial capacity in all areas of hospital operations with special interests in promoting standardization and quality. Age will be relaxed in case of departmental candidates and Candidates with more number of years of experience

Assistant Medical Superintendent
M.B.B.S. with full time Post Graduation in Hospital Administration (M.H.A.) from a recognized University in India or abroad. Candidates should have experience after Post Graduation in a reputed hospital (atleast 300 beds). Candidates should have a track record of having skills in a managerial capacity in all areas of hospital operations with special interests in promoting standardization and quality. Candidates with less than 3 years’ experience after post graduation will be considered for lower grade (grade D)
06Officer-in-charge (Dispensary)
Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from a recognized university and registration with State Pharmacy Council.  Additional Qualification in Material Management / Business administration in a relevant field from a reputed institute is desirable.  He / She should have minimum 15 years experience in a functioning Dispensary of a large specialty hospital of which at least 3 years should be at a senior level.  The incumbent must have adequate knowledge of computerized operations, inventory management, well versed in FDA rules and procedures as per Drugs and Cosmetics Act. He / She should be able to maintain on-line systems.  He / She should be able to lead a team of Pharmacists for functions of purchase, stores, sales and administration in a Dispensary
07Engineer ‘D’ (Electrical)
B.E. (12+4  years  course) in electrical engineering from Government University with at least 12 years practical experience in the field of electrical design, estimation, tendering and execution / maintenance  of multi storied hospitals / hotels / laboratories / office complex / housing colony, coordination and maintenance of fire fighting, HVAC work, audio-visuals, EPBAX, surveillance, D.G.Sets, medical gas pipe lines, substation equipments, pneumatic chute etc. Candidate having additional qualification . experience in HVAC, powder distribution switch gear, starters and motors will be preferred. The candidate shall have ability to lead experience team of engineers, supervisors, technicians and contractors. Candidates having more experience may be considered for the next higher grade i.e. Engineer ‘E’ (Electrical)
08Medical Physicist  ‘C
M.Sc.(Physics) and Diploma in Radiological Physics conducted by BARC or equivalent including 01 year internship in hospital.
09Personnel Officer (HRD)
Graduate with P.G. Management degree/diploma in Human Resource/Labour Welfare/Personnel Management/Industrial Relations/Public Administration.  The incumbent will have to look after all the H.R. related matters, staff welfare problems and handle staff grievances at TMC.  The candidate should be able to draft procedures related to HR, execute disciplinary cases, conduct domestic inquiries and deal with litigation matters.  Minimum 8 years experience in responsible capacity in personnel and H.R.  Must be able to run computerized systems i.e. Personnel Information System transactions, Pay Roll Systems, Time Keeping etc. in a large organization.  Candidates working in Central Government/Autonomous Body/PSUs in the administrative category should have 5 years service in the grade pay of Rs.4800/-

Age and experience will be reckoned as on 30.06.2014. Age Relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC and 10 years for Physically Handicapped.   Age may be relaxable in cases of exceptional qualifications, and special needs for the development of the Department and for Departmental candidates. 
GENERAL CONDITIONS:
Officers will be appointed as Scientific Officer (Medical) in the appropriate Scientific Grade and given an Academic Designation as per the Medical Council of India norms.

In addition to pay, other allowances including DA, HRA, TA, etc will be admissible as per the prevailing rules of TMC.  All officers will be eligible for institutional financial support for active participation in National and International Medical Meetings, Workshops and Conferences after their probation is closed. Medical Officers are entitled to all privileges applicable at TMC. All officers will be covered by a Contributory Health Service Scheme for self and dependants.

Residential accommodation will be provided subject to availability. All are eligible for retirement benefits and pension under the new pension scheme.

Candidates may be offered a higher or lower grade than what is advertised based on their teaching experience, research track record and overall assessment at the time of interview and recommendation of the Selection Committee. 

Departmental candidates who are presently in a grade lower than what is advertised may apply for promotion to the higher grade apart from the existing merit promotion scheme. Only exceptionally qualified candidates with proven merit/track record would be eligible for fast track review promotion.

Candidates appointed will be rotated based on the needs of the concerned TMC Units at the Tata Memorial Hospital (Parel campus) or ACTREC (Kharghar campus) as and when necessary.

The TMC also may exercise the option to offer appointments on "Contract Basis" for a fixed term on a consolidated remuneration.

The candidates (Sr.no. 1 to 9) shall submit a Demand Draft of Rs.500/-(Rs.125/-for SC/ST candidates),  (Sr.no. 10  to 19)  shall submit a Demand Draft of Rs.300/- (Rs.75/- for SC/ST candidates) drawn in favour of Tata Memorial Centre, Parel, Mumbai - 400012 by Post and a recent passport size photograph, attested copies of all certificates regarding Date of Birth, Educational Qualification, Experience Certificates, Caste Certificate, Physically Handicapped Certificate etc. along with the copy of online application form on or before the last date of receiving the applications to the H.R.D. OFFICER, TATA MEMORIAL HOSPITAL, PAREL, MUMBAI-400 012.  Candidates may pay the Online Registration Fees by using Debit Card / Credit Card Number. It is mandatory to submit a copy of Online application along with copies of relevant certificates otherwise the candidature of the candidate will be treated as cancelled.  Female candidates are exempted from paying of fees while submitting application.

Video Conferencing/Telephonic Interview can be arranged for the candidates presently working abroad subject to availability of the facility, if desired (for Sr.no. 1 to 5).
 Candidates seeking telephonic interviews should submit photocopies of certificates attested by the present employers.

Persons working under Central/State Government/Autonomous Body/ Semi Government Organizations and other Public Sector Undertakings must submit their application forwarded through the head of the organization.

Separate applications should be submitted for each post.

Three Referees listed by the candidate should have been associated with the training or supervision of the candidates work during past 10 years.

Tata Memorial Centre also reserves the right not to call any candidate to appear for interview without assigning any reason there for.The Tata Memorial Centre reserves the right to fix minimum eligibility standard / bench mark and restrict no. of candidates to be called for interview taking into account various factors like no. of vacancies, percentage of marks in PG degree etc., The Tata Memorial Centre also reserves the right to fix minimum eligibility standard/cut-off marks (Group/Stream/Discipline/Category-wise etc.) while finalizing such candidates to be called for interview as well as selecting the candidates for final selection after the interview.   The decision of the Director, Tata Memorial Centre in this regards shall be final and binding and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained with the candidates.

In case it is found at any stage of recruitment that the candidates does not fulfill the eligibility criteria and/or, the candidate has furnished any incorrect / false / incomplete information or has suppressed any material fact (s),  his / her candidature will be cancelled.  If any shortcoming is detected, even after appointment, the services of the candidate are liable to be terminated forthwith.  Therefore, before applying for any post, the candidate should ensure that he / she fulfills all the eligibility criteria under the norms mentioned in the advertisement.
